LOCAL ATTRACTIONS
Anglesey Beaches
Staying around Benllech, Lligwy and Pentraeth puts you close to some of Anglesey’s best beaches. Benllech Beach is a long sweep of sand with easy access, good for sandcastles, paddling and a walk along the shore at any time of year.
Just along the coast, Traeth Lligwy feels a bit wilder and more open, great for picnics and big skies. It was once named one of the 10 best picnic spots in Britain by Coast Magazine and on the right day you might even spot dolphins or seals out in the bay.
There are plenty of smaller coves and quiet stretches of coastline nearby too, so you can try a different beach each day without travelling far.

Outdoor Activities
From Benllech, Lligwy and Pentraeth you can reach a good mix of outdoor activities without long drives.
- Sea and shore fishing at local marks along the Anglesey coast
- Golf at Storws Wen Golf Club, just a short drive inland
- Boat trips to see the coastline and nearby islands from the water
- Go‑karting if you fancy a bit of speed
- Horse riding through open countryside and along quiet lanes
- Cycling on quiet roads and signed routes across the island
- Flying experiences for something completely different
Whether you prefer a steady walk on the beach or a more active break, there is plenty to do close by.
Food & Drink
Benllech, Lligwy and Pentraeth have a handy mix of pubs, cafés, restaurants and takeaways, from easy fish and chips to sit‑down meals. Across Anglesey many places use local produce, including fresh seafood, island‑reared meat and Welsh cheeses.
You will also see local beers and spirits on many menus, so you can try a taste of the island with your meal. Whether you want coffee and cake, ice creams for the beach or a relaxed evening drink, you will not have to go far.

Family Activites
Families have plenty of choice within a short drive. If your children love animals, Pili Palas Nature World, Anglesey Sea Zoo and Foel Farm Park are always popular. They can meet farm animals, learn about local sea life and enjoy play areas and tractor rides.
For something a bit different, you can visit Mr Holt’s Model Safari and try one of their Monuts. On rainy days, local leisure centres and indoor play areas across Anglesey make easy back‑up options so children can still run around and burn off some energy.
