Easy Camping Meals
Meal times can often be limited whilst camping if you only have one gas stove or BBQ and not a lot of space for pots & pans.
We’ve put together a list of meals, snacks and desserts that are easily made, not very messy and don’t need an entire kitchen!
Chilli con Carne – Serves 4
This is a perfect dish to keep you warm whilst camping especially if the weathers bad. Easy to make and all in one pan; ideal camping dish.

- 1 tsp Chili Powder
- 1 tsp Cumin
- 1 tsp Paprika
- 400g chopped tomato
How to make:
Place your pan over the gas hob on a medium heat, add the tablespoon of cooking oil and leave to heat for 1-2 minutes. Dice your large onion or use your readily chopped onions and add to the pan, stir for 5-minutes. Add the chili, cumin and paprika powder and stir for 5 mins. Next add the mince, turning the heat up slightly to make sure the mince fries and does not stew. Break the mince apart using a spoon or spatula and brown evenly ensuring there are no pink bits. Add water and a beet stock cube and pour in the chopped tinned tomatoes. Bring to the boil and let simmer for 20 mins. Check and stir occasionally making the sure the sauce does not stick to the pan or dry up. If the sauce drys up add a couple of tablespoons of water.
